Check for updates

How the apps tell you about a new version and how to install it over the old one.

The apps look for a new version on their own, at most once a week, when they check your license. Nothing installs itself: you choose when to update.

1. 01

   Check

   In the Complete Chain press CHECK FOR UPDATES in the status bar; the line under the license shows your version. In a single plugin, click the LICENSE badge and press CHECK FOR UPDATES.

2. 02

   Download

   When one is ready the Chain’s button reads GET UPDATE with the version, and a plugin’s badge reads UPDATE READY. Either takes you to My Account; download the update for this computer.

3. 03

   Install over the old one

   Quit your DAW and install as you did the first time. There is nothing to uninstall first, and your presets and activation are kept.
