01 / DYNAMIC EQUALIZER
Keep the bite. Lose the fight.
Find harshness, clear the low mids and shape the detail. Start with five bands, expand to ten, and let dynamic bands respond to your playing.
TRY IT Use a dynamic cut to tame a harsh frequency only when it jumps out. Open the expanded EQ for precise edits.

Hold it together.
Shape the attack and release, add makeup gain and blend compression with the original signal. Input, output and gain-reduction meters keep the movement in view.
TRY IT Lower the threshold until gain reduction follows the loud hits. Use Mix for parallel compression and Makeup to set the processed level.

Add body and bite with Silk, Iron or Edge. Shape the tone, then blend in the amount of character your guitar needs.
TRY IT Start with a low Mix setting. Compare Silk, Iron and Edge at a similar listening level to hear the texture each voice adds.

Put weight under the riff.
Rebuild the low end below your guitar and drive it until it grinds. Strength sets how much undertone arrives, Weight tunes how low it sits, and Grind and Grit decide how mean it gets.
TRY IT Bring Strength up until the low end moves air, then pull Mix back until the note still speaks through it. Grit is the last thing to add, not the first.

Decide how it lands.
Shape the pick attack and the tail after it. Push Punch for a harder front edge, or lift Sustain to let chords bloom. Focus aims the effect at the low strings or at the pick.
TRY IT Work with Punch and Sustain one at a time. Focus decides which part of the guitar moves: low strings at one end, pick attack at the other.

Make it hit home.
Smooth the level, push the limiter and set your ceiling. Short-term loudness, true-peak and reduction meters show the final result.
TRY IT The leveler makes gentle changes of up to 4 dB. Limit Drive pushes into the limiter; Ceiling sets the peak target. Watch reduction as you raise the drive.
